Im going to be honest with you.

I had nothing planned for this week.

I've been doing a million things and I have plenty of ideas for posts but I guess I just ran out of time. So I was looking through my Lightroom looking for something interesting when I reached the point where it all began for this blog: California

I started this blog when I came back from California with 11 rolls of Portra 400. The four posts that are up on Cali are pretty exhaustive of my favorite shots from the trip, but after going back and looking at the images again I found some new favorites.

Allowing your work to sit for a while before returning to it is a skill that I have to work on. I always find interesting pictures when I go back through my catalog that I hadn't noticed the first time around. I think part of the reason is if you don't allow time to pass between taking and publishing a picture, then you allow your feelings regarding what it was like to take the image to supersede if it actually is a good image or not

I didn't realize I had taken so many pictures of clouds

You just cant beat Portra grain, I already have an 800 loaded for next week

At the same time it can be as smooth as anything you've seen, it really is an amazing film

Like I said, I have cool things planned for the next posts, but I enjoyed going over past material, I'll throw in some older stuff from time to time, as always, any and all feedback is much appreciated!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
