No. 7 CENTRAL PARK

Let's change things up shall we?

It's officially Spring in New York City. Might not feel like it some days but it will be summer before you know it.

That had me thinking of Central Park. The most photographed location on earth (I heard that somewhere but don't quote me).

Its easy to understand why though.

I get lost every single time I go there. Seriously could that place be more confusing? I guess its part of the fun though, you never know when you're going to run into a "medieval" castle, Egyptian Obelisk, John Lennon memorial, Shakespeare garden... I was even told there is a rock climbing wall somewhere but I haven't found it yet.

I have a Hasselblad 501c Medium Format camera that I really don't use as much as I should, I've been debating if I should sell it or if I should give it another chance.

The thing is I don't really see that much of a difference between that and my Leica (apart from the obvious film size difference), and the MP is just sooo much easier and convenient to use. I like to be as fast as possible when I'm shooting in the street and I'm not good enough with the Hassie. I've never been an SLR guy, and I've become super comfortable with the rangefinder.

I was thinking maybe I could trade in the 501 for a Medium Format Rangefinder style camera but I really dont want to spend that much money on a Mamiya 7. If you have any opinions I would love to hear them!

Here are shots using the same exposure settings, Portra 400 (obviously) on both cameras, let me know what you think!

Summer is almost here guys I promise.

Have a great weekend,
